There is a certain flavor to days.. in that you can make choices about how you feel and what you are expecting to experience based on what tastes you are going to put through your oral senses. You do that as well with all the rest of them. Understanding this is critically important to acknowledging that we have enormous power over our own precious existences.
These choices of creating sense to our day are just as powerful as any of our cognitive processes. Making ourselves new with the choices we possess happens each and every single moment of recognizing we are awake. What we eat, what we choose to wear, what we choose to hear, what we choose to see--all of this is completely and utterly within our power. To ever give up this power, to ignore its creative energy, by relegating one's choice to the world around us, is perhaps the greatest of all sins. Letting the noise of our commutes, or the smells of expedient and convenient food production replace our own conscious willful choice, co-creates a huge and horrible nightmare with a population that is quite literally killing this planet.
